On 3rd March at 7:30 PM, MarkHub24 successfully conducted a Masterclass for Students titled “How to Write a Research Paper – A Beginner’s Perspective”, in academic collaboration with CCHRD, Arka Jain University.

The session witnessed participation from 80 students representing 7 different academic institutions, reflecting growing interest among students in understanding research writing through a structured and beginner-friendly approach.
Objective of the Session
The masterclass aimed to demystify research writing for absolute beginners and equip students with foundational knowledge required to start their research journey confidently. The session focused on helping participants:
Understand the fundamentals of academic research
Learn how to identify and refine research topics
Structure a research paper using standard academic frameworks
Avoid common beginner mistakes
Develop awareness about publishing and academic ethics
Beyond academic relevance, the session also highlighted how research skills enhance analytical thinking and are increasingly valued in corporate environments.
Key Areas Covered
1. Understanding Research Fundamentals
The session began by explaining research as a systematic and evidence-based process, distinguishing it from informal information gathering. Students were introduced to qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-method research approaches using simplified examples.
2. Topic Selection & Research Questions
Participants learned how to convert broad interests into focused research problems. Practical demonstrations helped students understand how to frame research questions, objectives, and hypotheses effectively.
3. Structure of a Research Paper
A comprehensive explanation of the IMRAD framework was provided, covering:
Abstract
Introduction
Literature Review
Methodology
Results
Discussion
Conclusion

The session simplified methodological concepts for beginners, covering:
Questionnaire design
Sampling fundamentals
Primary data collection
Basic interpretation of research findings
The goal was to reduce the intimidation often associated with research methodology.
