The masterclass titled “The Art of Customer Analytics: How Data Reveals Customer Behavior & Drives Marketing Decisions” was successfully conducted by MarkHub24 in collaboration with Avantika University on 18 April 2026 via Google Meet. The session aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical marketing concepts and practical, data-driven decision-making skills.

The event witnessed enthusiastic participation, with a total of 85 students joining the session. The audience primarily consisted of students interested in marketing, business analytics, and data-driven strategies, making the session highly engaging and relevant.
The session commenced with an introduction to the importance of customer analytics in today’s business landscape. Participants were guided on how modern marketers rely on data rather than assumptions to understand customer behavior and make strategic decisions. The speaker emphasized that in a competitive environment, businesses that effectively analyze customer data gain a significant advantage in targeting, retention, and overall growth.
Moving forward, the session focused on understanding different types of customer data, including demographic, transactional, and behavioral data. Real-world examples were used to help participants relate to how such data is generated and utilized by companies on a daily basis. This laid a strong foundation for the practical segment of the masterclass.
A major highlight of the session was the hands-on practical demonstration using Microsoft Excel. Participants were introduced to a sample dataset and guided step-by-step on how to clean and organize raw data. Key data preprocessing techniques such as removing duplicates, handling missing values, and formatting datasets were explained in a simple and easy-to-follow manner.
The session then progressed into customer segmentation, where participants learned how to group customers based on their behavior, spending patterns, and engagement levels. Using Excel tools like filters and pivot tables, the speaker demonstrated how raw data can be transformed into meaningful insights. This practical approach enabled participants to clearly understand how businesses identify different categories of customers and tailor their strategies accordingly.
Further, the session focused on extracting insights from data and converting them into actionable marketing decisions. Participants were shown how to identify high-value customers, recognize inactive users, and design strategies to improve engagement and retention. The emphasis was on helping students think like marketers who use data to drive decisions rather than relying solely on creativity or assumptions.
Throughout the masterclass, the session maintained an interactive and engaging environment. Participants actively responded to questions, shared their thoughts, and clarified doubts during the live session. The practical nature of the workshop ensured that students were not just passive listeners but active learners.
The session concluded with a strong focus on the importance of data-driven marketing in today’s digital world. Participants were encouraged to continue practicing with datasets and explore more advanced tools to enhance their analytical skills. A feedback form was shared at the end of the session, and participants were informed that certificates of participation would be awarded upon successful completion of the feedback.
Overall, the masterclass was a great success, achieving its objective of providing participants with practical exposure to customer analytics using Excel. The collaboration between MarkHub24 and Avantika University proved to be highly impactful, delivering valuable learning to students and equipping them with skills relevant to the industry.
The positive response and active participation of 85 students reflect the growing interest in data-driven marketing and the need for more such practical learning initiatives in the future.
